Visit the Masters

The above watercolor is a detail of The Bleachery by Van Gogh. The painting is part of the Getty Museum collection in San Francisco. (Click on the painting to see how the museum presents it). The personal connection of this piece is that the painting is of my husband's home town.

It always fascinates me how the masters were able to capture the subject they painted with such skill, beauty and emotion.
